About us

Originally a part of the Bureau of Education of the Taipei City Government, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum (TFAM) is currently under the administration of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, which was established on November 6, 1999. The Museum contains within itself departments of research, exhibition, acquisition and collection, education, general affairs and sections dealing with accounting, personnel, and governmental ethics. The General Affairs Department is in charge of the mechanical section and all those responsible for the security of the museum. There are also the task-oriented, temporary sections of the International Public Relations Division,and the Media & IT Division.On September 15, 2010 Mr. Wu Kwang-Tyng took the position of the Director and tenure ended on July 31, 2011. Deputy director Liu Ming-Hing was appointed August 1, 2011, as the acting director of the museum.On September 5, 2011, Weng Chih-Tsung took up the post as the acting director of the museum. On July 2,2012, Huang Hai-Ming took the position of the Director, and tenure ended on January 31, 2015. On February 1, 2015, Chiang Yu-Fang took up the post as the acting director of the museum. On April 30, 2015, Ms. Lin Ping took the position of the Director of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
